I've done lots of personal development, and the techniques and ideas in NLP rank right up at the top with solid practices that actually make a difference, if you actually put it into practice. I bought the audio book and am now buying the print version so that I can refer to it easier. I am getting a lot of good practices from this book. It covers a lot of territory.
If this is a good introduction to NLP, then NLP is drivel. This book is NLP hype, and little else.
I am now ordering another copy since I gave mine to a friend who I have highly recommended it to. After only reading the first 75 pages, I have been able to improve all areas of my life with a different mindset.
Though NLP doesnt profess to solve all problems, it does help to identify thinking structures to allow all readers to come away from reading this book, better than when they started. Practical introduction to NLP, with insight not only in origins and creations of NLP but how it is applied in almost every situation. The imagery excercises detailed in the book allow the reader to come away from reading the book, with a solid knowledge of NLP, practices, and use, as well as tools for teaching and mentoring others to use these approaches as well.
If you want enough info to make a valued decision, without being baffled by lots of technical stuff, buy this book. Now, some six months later, I am looking into taking a practitioner course. I also liked and recommend: Master of the Game: Become a Chick Magnet and Attract Women Effortlessly If its an understanding of NLP you're after, and the chance to practice some exercises, easily and clearly explained in plain english, then this is the book for you. I knew nothing of NLP, and after reading this book was inspired enough to go to a seminar on the subject.
